There is a pivotal moment in every executive journey when the mandate to serve completely outgrows your current infrastructure. Passion alone cannot fund a movement, and pure intent cannot secure institutional capital. For over two decades, I have navigated that exact reality.
When I assumed the mantle as Senior Pastor of Powerhouse Ministries in 2002, my commitment to our community was absolute. I quickly realized, however, that transforming a region demands elite corporate architecture. We needed a vehicle capable of executing at a massive scale. On November 26, 2008, we established Powerhouse Community Development Corporation (PCDC). Today, that single decision has expanded into a premier institution operating across five cities. We currently execute more than 28 fully-funded programs, strengthening families through housing, treatment services, youth initiatives, and massive community resource systems. We built the exact corporate framework required to sustain a multi-million dollar impact.
My entire life is dedicated to bridging the sacred calling of the sanctuary with the sophisticated demands of the boardroom. Serving as a District Superintendent, Administrative Assistant to the Bishop, Dean of Education for the International Men’s Department, and an Executive Member of the Office of the Financial Secretary for COGIC, Inc. Worldwide, I navigate the intersection of high-level ministry and institutional finance daily. My academic foundation in theology and psychology, coupled with my work as a certified clinical counselor, keeps me fiercely anchored to the raw reality of the families we serve.
My biblical mandate remains clear: we must secure the well-being of our cities.
My assignment is to prepare, provoke, and promote excellence in community development and nonprofit leadership. I refuse to watch another visionary leader shoulder the financial burden of their calling alone. You are scripting a permanent legacy of transformation. Let our firm engineer the exact infrastructure required to fund it.
Committed to your legacy,
Charles Stephenson
